Knowing the History is a project of Viana do Alentejo Municipality, set in motion in 2013, whose goals are the knowledge, preservation and divulgation of Viana do Alentejo county’s history and heritage - parishes of Aguiar, Alcáçovas and Viana do Alentejo. This is the project’s website, created in 2017, with a double aim: on the one hand, to divulge the activities and results of the project itself; on the other hand, to gather and to publicly provide, in a single platform, pertinent scientific information within the scope of the municipal history and heritage.
In this section is the scientific base information regarding the municipality’s history and heritage, subdivided into five separators: Institutions, Heritage, Notable People, Publications and Information Repositories.
